POINT OF MUSE 2019

Inspired by the past, influencing the future

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection!

Helen Louise Allen was a professor at the School of Human Ecology who traveled the world collecting beautiful and compelling textiles. She brought the textiles back to her students to broaden their understanding of the cultures, function, materials, aesthetic and belief systems from around the world. Helen left her collection to the school as a way to continue her legacy of hands-on learning. The collection has served as a muse to students for the last 50 years, and we hope will continue to inspire for generations to come.
